WREXHAM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Andrew Roberts - Violin
Twenty-five
years old Andrew Roberts has been leader of the Wrexham Orchestra for just over
twelve months. A native of Wrexham, he first started learning the violin when
he was eight years old, and joined the Wrexham & District Orchestral
Society when he was thirteen.
He was a pupil at Grove Park Comprehensive School
and Yale Sixth Form College before gaining his BSc. At Leeds University. He is
employed as an Electrical Engineer by Brother Industries Limited on the
Vauxhall Industrial Estate in Ruabon. He has played in the Clwyd Youth Orchestra,
the North Wales Youth Orchestra and the Leeds University Orchestra. His musical
tastes are wide and varied and
include Classical, Jazz and Scottish Country Dance music.
