Colin Graham - Piano
Colin Graham was born
in Greenock on the West Coast of Scotland and began to learn the piano at the
age of seven. On entering the Music School of Douglas Academy, he studied with Alexandra
Andrievsky for six years before joining the Royal Northern College of Music in
1994.
During his time at
the RNCM, Colin studied with Vladimir Ovchinikov and more extensively with
Helen Krizos. Colin has participated in many masterclasses with such
distinguished musicians as Arnaldo Cohen, Malcolm Martineau, Anne Quefflec,
John O'Conor, Pascal Roge Eden and Tamir and Ian Brown.
Colin has performed
in many of the British venues including Manchester's Bridgewater Hall,
Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall and recently gave a broadcast with Mary Owen,
flautist, on BBC Radio 3. Colin has also participated in the RNCM's prestigious
'Glories of the Keyboard' Festival.
Future plans include
a series of British recitals with Mary Owen and a collaboration with Catherine
Friel, soprano, exploring the cabaret repertoire.
