John Gough - Piano

John Gough enjoys a busy career, and his concert engagements have taken him to America, Eire and throughout the United Kingdom. He frequently broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and has also recorded for Radio 2, Classic FM, World Service, S4C TV and BBC TV. As soloist he has appeared with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic Pops and the Northern Chamber Orchestra, also the Halle Wind Soloists. He has performed at the Buxton, Chester and Bowdon Festivals as well as at the Wigmore Hall and Purcell Room, London, and recently at the Ribble Valley International Piano Week.

Following his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, John won several scholarships and prizes including the John Ireland Centenary Piano Competition. He has also given several chamber music broadcasts including the complete Brahms and Faure piano quartets, and has performed with the Music Group of Manchester on several occasions.
