WREXHAM SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Wrexham Symphony Chorus

Wrexham Symphony Chorus made their debut on July 14th 2007, singing, with Wrexham Symphony Orchestra, some of the finest operatic choruses in the repertoire.

It was formed to give people additional chances to sing with full Symphony Orchestra, and to widen the repertoire of the orchestra. Launched in January 2007 at a successful “Come and Sing Messiah” event hosted by the WSO, the orchestra set out on a hunt for singers willing to participate in its Summer concert, with the help of local choirmaster Jacqui Blore, who also agreed to act as Choirmaster for the Symphony Chorus. The Choir gelled very quickly and performed just over a month after its inaugural rehearsal.

Wrexham Symphony Orchestra would like to thank all who have contributed to making the choir a success. Special thanks go to Jacqui Blore, St Giles Parish Church (which was used as a rehearsal venue), and Caroline Tate-Lovery, the choir’s piano accompanist.
